Valued Praying Friends,

Stay strong, Friends. It came to me this morning that I fresh transfusions from Jesus daily, weekly. Like a Holy Spirit IV. “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me“ (John 15:4 NKJV). —Brian

This issue … the Lady in the Harbor and legal immigration, what the Lord builds, Minnesota.

Explore the Statue of Liberty’s true message: lawful welcome, compassion rooted in order, and righteousness rising across America.

The Lady in the Harbor

In New York Harbor stands a woman the world recognizes. Torch lifted. Tablet in hand. A symbol of welcome and liberty.

Beneath her are words most Americans can quote … “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.”

For generations, these lines from Emma Lazarus’ poem have been used to describe the American spirit.

In the decades that followed, millions arrived through Ellis Island. They did not slip in unnoticed but passed through a legal gate into a new life in America.

They were welcomed, but they were also processed. They were examined. Documented. And admitted lawfully into the nation.

Emma Lazarus (1849–1887), American poet and activist.

Emma Lazarus (1849–1887), American poet and activist. Long before the modern Zionist movement took shape, she argued for the creation of a Jewish homeland in Palestine.

“From 1892 to 1954, there were 12 million immigrants who were vetted through Ellis Island. What’s facing us today is untold millions of unvetted illegal aliens allowed across our open borders during the four years of the Biden administration.” (Intercessor for America)

The welcome of America was never a welcome to chaos. It was a welcome into societal order.

Compassion and covenant worked together. Mercy and law stood side by side. Open arms existed alongside guarded gates.

Ellis Island was a filter. Doctors checked for disease, officials checked for criminal history. Names were recorded, and papers were issued.

Why such care? Because a nation is not built on compassion alone but on stewardship.

A home without doors is not loving. A city without walls is not merciful. A nation without borders is not compassionate.

It is unsustainable.

The founders and early leaders understood something deeply biblical. Love requires order and stewardship. This is American DNA.

On the JesusSmartX pod God Spots: Making Space for God to Move (Ep 332). We know God is everywhere—He’s omnipresent. Yet His power doesn’t always feel active in every situation. That’s because His presence isn’t the same as His manifested presence. And the surprising part? He often looks to us to set the stage for it.

Prayer Key — What the Lord Builds

“We have been assured, Sir, in the Sacred Writings, that ‘except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it.’ I firmly believe this.”

— Benjamin Franklin’s call for prayer at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia, 1787

Pray American DNA 🧬

We can draw on America's founding prayers, covenants, documents, and early experiences as "prayer architecture" for today. Adapt the prayer language below to your prayer voice as the Holy Spirit leads.

🗽 Legal citizens — Father, we pray for the restoration of legal immigration to America. Bring the people you desire. May they be drawn to America’s founding ideals and become productive, law-abiding citizens. Help others to seek you as they return to their countries. "And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us" (Acts 17:26-27 NKJV).

🕊️ Minnesota—Father, we ask for order and peace in Minneapolis and Minnesota. Let your will be manifested on Minnesota earth as it is in heaven. May the agenda of hell be cast down, and may truth spring up from the earth. Let it be a standard for the nation. “Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven” (Psalm 85:11 NKJV).

🛡️ Sovereign protection of our leaders. Father, we invoke your hand of protection over leaders in our nation. Foil the plans of lawlessness.

🔥 As you pray, tune in to the Father’s heart. Resonate with the sharp prayer edges he surfaces in the Spirit. Leave “white space” in prayer for fresh prayer themes improvisation.
