Nissan—a Reset for America

Nissan is the Hebrew month when God resets everything. “This month shall be for you the beginning of months” (Exodus 12:2).

In 2026, Nissan began at sundown March 18 and runs through sundown April 17. God spoke this while Israel was still in Egypt, declaring that redemption, not oppression, would define their future.

He reordered their time, identity, and allegiance under His leadership and lordship through the blood of the Lamb.

For followers of Jesus, Nissan points to Christ, our Passover Lamb (1 Corinthians 5:6-8) and Firstfruits. It is a month marked by redemption, new beginnings, and deliverance.

The prophetic overlay of Nissan calls us to leave our Egypt Scenarios, the patterns of fear, compromise, and bondage .. and to move out into fresh obedience which releases liberty. We can access ‘Exodus Events’ in our lives.

In Exodus, households came under the covering of the Lamb through simple but decisive obedience. In the same way, obedient faith-movement becomes the pathway for God’s delivering power to move.

For America, this is an invitation to a reset at the level of our national DNA and founding. There is a grace now. It’s as if something is in the air.

From the beginning, this nation was shaped by appeals to heaven, covenant language, and a conscious dependence on God’s providence. A true reset is not a reinvention but a return to those first principles. This is an expression of repentance and restoration.

As hearts and homes come back under His authority, God can restore what has eroded, realign what has drifted, and breathe fresh life into the original framework. This is a moment to begin again under the Lamb and under His rule.

💡🧠 Common Sense — Father, we ask for a restoration of sound judgment and common sense in America. Lift us above division, partisanship, and confusion. Re-anchor this nation in what is true, right, and workable. Give our leaders and citizens clarity to see plainly, think clearly, and act with wisdom that is not driven by ideology but grounded in reality and truth. Help us to value what is good, uphold what is just, and walk in humility before You.

We ask that a spirit of wisdom would settle over our land. Quiet the noise that distorts and inflames. Break the grip of deception, extremism, and hardened thinking. Teach us again how to reason together, to discern rightly, and to pursue solutions that serve the common good. Let this be a turning toward what is reasonable, honorable, and aligned with Your ways.

“To receive instruction in wise behavior, righteousness, justice and equity” (Proverbs 1:3 NASB).

In 1776, Thomas Paine’s Common Sense helped awaken a nation by appealing to clear, grounded reasoning over confusion and tradition. He cut through the noise and called people back to what was simple, true, and necessary. In the same way, we ask God to restore that kind of clarity in our time.

🌍 War in Iran—We pray for a clear resolution to the conflict in Iran. We ask for the freedom of the Iranian people. We believe for a geopolitical reset in that region of the world. King Jesus, have your way in all things. “He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, and with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked” (Isaiah 11:4 NKJV). [We may be seeing a foretaste, a kindling of the fulfillment of Isaiah 11:4 now, with complete realization at Christ’s coming. Take it to the Lord and discern.]

🛡️ Sovereign protection of our leaders. Father, we invoke your hand of protection over leaders in our nation. Foil the plans of lawlessness.

🔥 As you pray, tune in to the Father’s heart. Resonate with the sharp prayer edges he surfaces in the Spirit. Leave “white space” in prayer for fresh prayer themes improvisation.
