Kingdom Friend, your Prayer Resolve is moving things. Thanks for your steadfastness.

This issue … America is in turbulent waters. This is no time for calm souls. We need those born for the storm.

Born out of wedlock. Orphaned. American Founding Father.

“I was born for the storm” —Alexander Hamilton

Alexander Hamilton (1755 or 1757–1804) was forged in the crucible of adversity.

Born out of wedlock in the West Indies, orphaned as a child, he rose to become a Founding Father, a chief architect of America’s financial system, and a fierce defender of the Constitution.

His life was marked by turbulence. Wars, political battles, personal losses. Yet he pressed forward with indomitable courage.

His third son, James Alexander Hamilton (1788–1878), later wrote these words about his father: “I was born for the storm, and a calm does not suit me.”

What a striking legacy. These words capture the spirit of a man who did not shrink back when the winds howled and waves rose. He seemed to thrive in the storm, finding purpose and clarity in times that would paralyze others.

I think God is looking for storm-ready Americans today … men and women who are not afraid to stand when the times are hard. People who can pray, lead, and act in the middle of cultural upheaval.

God can help us increase in this. Will we choose to rise?

Alexander Hamilton— "There is a certain enthusiasm in liberty, that makes human nature rise above itself, in acts of bravery and heroism."

🗝️ Kingdom prayer key

Prayer moves heaven and shakes invisible thrones. Delay is not denial—there’s a war in the unseen. Stay sharp. Stay engaged. Keep pressing.

Here’s Daniel 10:12-13 (NASB): Then he said to me, "Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia was standing in opposition to me for twenty-one days; then behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left there with the kings of Persia."

When the winds rise, so do faith-resolved Americans (Pray American DNA newsletter)

Each generation needs to rediscover America’s DNA.

We can draw on America's founding prayers, covenants, documents, and early experiences as "prayer architecture" for today. Adapt the prayer language below to your prayer voice as the Holy Spirit leads.

Born for the storm

⚔️ Lord, we are not made for the calm—we are born for the storm. Strengthen our spine, steady our hands, and sharpen our sight. When the winds rage and the waves rise, may faith-filled Americans not flinch. We stand in the name of Christ as King. Amen. 📖 "God is our refuge and strength, a very ready help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth shakes and the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake at its swelling pride.” —Psalm 46.1-3 NASB

🛡️ Pray that the presidential administration will receive sharp, heaven-sent wisdom to thread the needle—avoiding entanglement in endless war (Afghanistan, Iraq) while seizing this moment to ensure Iran never attains a nuclear weapon. May they discern the narrow path that serves justice and lasting security. 📖 "Your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ whenever you turn to the right or to the left." —Isaiah 30:21 NASB

🦅 As you pray, tune in to the Father’s heart. Watch for the sharp prayer edges He brings to the surface in the Spirit. Leave “white space” in prayer for improvisation.
